Meade Chromebook Distribution

Greetings Meade School Families,

The School District of Philadelphia is organizing a process to provide a chromebook to each currently enrolled Meade School student so teachers can support student learning during the school closures.

In order to pick up a chromebook for every student, an adult must report to the main entrance of Meade School on Monday, April 13th or Tuesday, April 14th from 9 am to 2 pm.  Students with a last name beginning with the letters A-M will pickup on Monday and N-Z will pickup on Tuesday. If you have students with different last names that fall on different days (in the same family) you may decide your pick-up day.  Ex: one sibling is a Clarke and one is a Scott, you may come one time on the day of your choice.

A guardian listed on the students’ emergency contact list must come to school on the designated day to pick up laptops for their student(s). The emergency contact that is picking up the laptops must show ID before they will be allowed into the building.

For everyone’s safety, please be prepared to wait six feet apart outside of the school. The school police officer will admit one adult  family representative (from the emergency contact list) at a time to allow for proper distancing and sanitation. The team is working hard to sanitize all equipment (including pens) between interactions. We appreciate your patience during this difficult time.

It is our understanding that the chromebooks will be returned to school at the end of the crisis. More details will be made available when we know the return process.
